Please note that this is an approximate weekly schedule, all the programs are included in the care and are very flexible as the priority is to meet each child and family individual needs as much as possible! I find the outings very educational and beneficial for children's early years development. These present the perfect opportunities for children to socialize and to experience different influences on their learning journey! Our wonderful home days on the other hand allow children to experience great variety of deep and meaningful imaginative and creative play learning opportunities. During school holidays we are more relaxed, do more messy arts and crafts and/or depending on the weather more outings to playgrounds, parks, beach and of course try to include some special outings /museums, zoo, farm,..etc/ and these may occur with additional small fees to cover entry and transport costs.
Each baby and child is different and when they start I always ask parents to write down their child's home routine to be able to follow it as much as I possibly can respecting all the other children individual needs at the same time in my care.
Our approach to daily rhythm is influenced by elements of the Waldorf/Steiner philosophy, where we can establish and maintain calm and peaceful and fun daily routines by focusing on breathing in moments and breathing out moments. Following order of events but not being restricted by time pressure. Except for activities and events that need to follow restricted time patterns.
Typical example of our daily rhytm looks similar to the following: Children arrive, settle in with free play Breakfast time We may do our school run and/or go for out for our outing/adventure Morning Tea time Circle chat time Play time Lunch time Story time with proper circle time Quiet time and sleeping time Afternoon Tea time Tidy up time/Going home time
